How to Start affiliate marketing

Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which individuals or businesses promote products or services on behalf of another company, known as the merchant or advertiser.

Affiliates earn a commission for each sale, lead, or desired action generated through their promotional efforts.

Every big company like Google, Amazon and Apple have an affiliate program which you can join for free.

How it works?

STEP 1 - The merchant creates an affiliate program that outlines the terms and conditions, commission rates, and guidelines for affiliates. They may establish the program in-house or utilize an affiliate network or platform to manage the program.

STEP 2 - The affiliate selects the products or services they want to promote from the merchant's offerings. They receive unique affiliate links or codes that identify them as the source of traffic or sales. Affiliates use various marketing channels to promote the merchant's products or services. This can include their websites, blogs, social media platforms, email newsletters, YouTube channels, or other online and offline methods.

STEP 3 - If the referred customer performs the desired action, such as making a purchase or signing up for a service, the conversion is recorded. The merchant's affiliate program tracks the conversions through the affiliate link and attributes the corresponding commission to the affiliate.

STEP 4 - Once the affiliate's earnings reach a minimum threshold, they can request a payout. The merchant pays the affiliate their commission through a preferred payment method, such as bank transfer, PayPal, or check.
